Brenton from BG Construction completed the build of our deck and verandah, and from the very beginning I was impressed with his professionalism and candour.

When we contacted multiple companies for quotes, Brenton stood out immediately. He provided a significant amount of upfront information about potential costs, risks, and the overall process — something we genuinely needed, as this was our first building project. After some back-and-forth discussions and a site visit, it was clear we wanted to work with him.

Brenton oversaw the entire project end-to-end and managed the surveyors, drafters, and engineers on our behalf, which removed a huge amount of stress for us. Once the engineering was finalised, he prepared a detailed and transparent quote. While the initial quote exceeded our budget, Brenton was excellent to work with — spending considerable time and effort exploring alternative options and adjustments to bring the project back within our means without compromising quality.

Once construction commenced, we were just as impressed. The level of detail, care, and pride Brenton takes in his workmanship is not something you come across often. While this approach extended the timeline by a few days, the end result was absolutely worth it. The finish is phenomenal.

I cannot recommend Brenton highly enough. When we start our next project, he will be the only builder we will work with.
